The May meeting of the York Retired Teachers� Association will take place on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Riverwalk Restaurant in Yorktown. Please note the location change. This was necessary as due to logistic difficulties with our prior site selection. The doors to our meeting area will open at 11:30 for the social part of our meeting. The lunch and business portion of our meeting will begin at 12:00.
The meal choices will be Crab Cakes or Grilled Pork Loin. The cost of the luncheon is $20.00 which includes entr�e, beverage, dessert, and gratuity. When you are contacted by your telephone caller, you will need to indicate your entree preference. The telephone callers will need to have the names of the members attending and their entr�e choices to Bev Woodard by Saturday, May 12th. If you have not been contacted by this date and plan to attend, please call Bev at 566-2205. It is important that our count be accurate as we must pay for the number of lunches that are ordered.
This is the final luncheon before summer break. We will award our scholarship at this meeting. Also, we will be initiating our new officers for the 2012-2014 biennium. We have planned this to be a time of fun and celebration. Please come out and join us in congratulating our scholarship recipient and offering your best wishes to our new officers.
Myrtle Soles will be collecting dues for next year. Local, District and State Membership dues for one year total $26.00. A form for registering for next year has been included in this mailing. Fill in the form and bring it to the May meeting (or mail it to Myrtle by May 31). Be sure to enter your email address so that we can include you in any emails that are sent out next year.
