Mark your calendars!!
We are excited to have other guests joining us today. Please
welcome the Matinee Idlers Barbershop Chorus, a performing ensemble of
the Virginia Peninsula Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The chapter
was formed in 1998 with men from the
peninsula. Kathy Jackson serves as the musical director. Mr. Bill Wenger has been our contact. Many
thanks to the members performing for us. Our program today is being presented
by Mr. John Swanberg, CSA, a VRTA Benefits Specialist for the Tidewater
area. Mr. Swanberg will be reviewing the
benefits ad services provided by the VRTA (Virginia Retired Teachers
Association) and answer any questions we may have.
Thank you for contributing the school supplies today. These will be delivered to Queens Lake Middle
School and distributed as needed throughout the school year. Mr. Meadows, the
principal, begins his first year in York County, and he was excited to have the
opportunity to work with us this year.
We will continue to support those in need in our community with the
collection of canned food items at our
November meeting. These items will be taken to the Food Bank.
Thank you for your support, and involvement in YRTA. Together we can "make connections that matter”. Bev Woodard, President
www.yrta.org has been updated with current
pictures and Information. Thank you
Susan for making "the connection” with Steven Bryan from Dash One.
