The FedBizOpps site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/is the single government point-of-entry for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000. Here, government buyers publicize their business opportunities by posting information directly to FedBizOpps via the Internet. Through this one portal, commercial vendors seeking Federal markets for their products and services can search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire Federal contracting community.

Army Corps of Engineers: Marketing 101

FREE - "Marketing 101 - A Small Business Deputies Perspective," is a presentation aimed at helping Small Businesses put themselves in a better position to win a contract with the Army Corps of Engineers. The presentation addresses such topics as who to contact in a Corps office to what the Corps looks for in a contractor before and after contract award. Jack Beecher, the Norfolk District�s Small Business Deputy, will give the presentation. Jack has over 30 years experience in working with the Corps' successful Small Business Program. Business Resource Seminar

 

Do you know where to go for your business assistance needs? With the vast array of local and state level services and programs available, how do you know which is best for your business and which will address your specific needs?

 

The William & Mary Technology & Business Center, in conjunction with sponsors James City County, York County, and The City of Williamsburg, is now offering a seminar that aims to help local businesses understand each of the many services and resources available to them.

 

The objectives of the seminar are to

  1. Identify Virginia and local available support services, public and private.
  2. Introduce representatives of the various services.
  3. Provide a "roadmap" of whom to go to, when, and for what.
  4. Enhance relations between economic development organizations and their clientele.
  5. Promote a better integration of support services.
  6. Determine typical client and company business support needs.

 

The seminar will be held at the Williamsburg Community Center on February 28, 2005 from 8:00am � 3:00pm � continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. If you would like to attend this seminar, please contact the Technology & Business Center at (757) 221-7815.
