I moved to Yorktown (Grafton) area last September, the week of the hurricane to be exact. I don't know many people and have a hard time knowing where to turn for services or simple things for the house other than going through the yellow pages line by line  :o)
 I also thought this topic might be useful for others new to the area to ask residents questions or advice on various subjects pertaining to this area.

I would also love to start up a social coffee group for  women 30-50 once a month  and make some new friends and get out of the house.. I am from North Bay Ontario Canada and a long way from home. I would love to start feeling like I fit in here. Are there any womens groups I could join or activities in this area outside of churches ? At present I am a volunteer with Yorktown Headstart program, but that will soon be over for the year. Look forward to hearing some feedback.
