April 2, 2010 Missing Dog:
Hi, We are Felton & Jeannie Johnson & live at the corner of OLD DOMINION & BYRON. Our old dog "Rooster" who many of you know, got out while he was in the backyard at approx. 11:00 pm Thursday night (last night). He has not returned yet. He is almost 14 years old, partially blind & deaf. 35 LBS, with a scraggley looking light reddish coat and a grey muzzle. Please call us if you see him. Edgehill is a mature neighborhood in York County on the Virginia Peninsula consisting of over 500 single family homes, mostly on large shady lots. The Edgehill Homeowner’s Association began in 1961 and continues to be active today.

This is a great place to live!

Edgehill includes hundreds of homes but it doesn’t feel crowded. It is wooded and quiet, yet still close enough to town to be convenient. The schools are good; our elementary school is right in the neighborhood. We are surrounded by a National Park and watershed forests. We have big yards and big trees. Edgehill is home to engineers and entrepreneurs, tradesmen and teachers, policemen and firemen, soldiers and Coasties, retirees, little old ladies, young families and empty-nesters. We have a pool and a clubhouse, but no mandatory fees.
