Welcome to the Architectural Review Committee Website for Willow Lakes!

Please make sure you have coordinated your proposed construction thru
York County prior to submitting your application. There may be some building code requirements unique to your situation. These include but not limited to construction in drainage easements, building permits, and building code requirements.

The Architectural Review Process

Per the Bylaws, any new construction, of any improvement, addition, change of or alteration of existing construction requires approval of the Architectural Review Committee. The process begins by completing an application for ARC review and submitting it to Abbitt Management in care of the Architectural Review Committee. The committee will review the application and provide a response. Per the Bylaws, the committee has 30 days to respond, however; every attempt is made to respond in less than 30 days.

Willow Lakes ARC Guidelines

The guidelines ensure architectural compatibility of construction in Willow Lakes, which in turn promote the marketability of our homes. These guidelines are provided to aid you in planning your improvement. If your proposed construction or improvement is not listed, please call a committee member with any questions or for clarifications.

Helpful Hints for Applying for Architectural Review

In addition to the completed application form, please provide the following items. Please note that incomplete applications will be returned.


1. A site/plat plan of the property showing the proposed location of the improvement on the lot. If adjoining a fence to a neighboring fence, a letter from the affected neighbor indicating agreement must accompany the application. A copy of the survey plat that was completed when you purchased your home works well.   

2. A drawing or description of the improvement, including the type of materials, color, etc., specifications and size, in the case of a fence or deck a brochure or drawing of the style and indicate the height of fence or deck.

3. If improvement is a satellite dish, draw the location of the home on the plat and indicate where the dish is being installed.

ARC Members
The Architectural Review Committee consists of three members that are appointed by the Board of Directors (see Bylaws). Additional members may be on the committee and act as members at large (non-voting). Any homeowner is invited to participate in the committee process.
